Journalists around the world face increasingly hostile environments. Reporta is an essential tool for journalists to facilitate the implementation of security protocols with three key functions:

  • An automated and flexible Check-in system designed for dangerous environments.

  • Customized Alerts - including photos, audio or video- when a journalist's safety or that of a colleague's may be at risk.

  • An SOS button for distress messages to contacts before the app shuts down to prevent unwanted access.

Reporta was made possible by a grant from the Howard G. Buffett Foundation
